Memories and More cards - so much more than memories

In 2017 Stampin' Up! launched the Memories and  More range of journaling and scrapbooking cards.  The cards come in 6x4 and 3x4 size and you also get a few sheets of coordinating stickers.  The real bonus of the new range is that they coordinate with suites in the catalogue, so, if you wanted, there are stamps, dies, designer series paper, cardstock and embellishments that will work with each pack of Memories and More.  This means that you can use the card packs for a range of projects and uses.

In the Spring/Summer catalogue the Happiness Blooms Memories and More pack also teams with the Happiness Blooms notecards and envelopes.  You get two sizes that perfectly layer with the 2 sizes of Memories and More cards, and it makes perfect sense if you want a quick and easy card to make.

This card has one large Memories and More card, some ribbon and a sticker - that's all, simple, clean and quick.  The sentiment could be for a birthday, congratulations or just to say hello.

Here I have coordinated the notecard with some of the Happiness Blooms DSP and Butterfly Gala bundle (which we are still waiting to be re-stocked).

This is the little and large sample, one of each of the notecard sizes with just the Memories and More cards and stickers.

Perfect Day Memories and More Page

Before this Memories and More set went, I wanted to do one more page.  I love the colour scheme and details in this set, perfect for birthdays and special moments.

Memories and More

Today's post is about Memories and More.  Memories and More are card kits made up of 3x4 double-sided decorated cards and 6x4" double-sided decorated cards that work with plastic pockets of the same dimensions.  This system allows you to get the photos off your phone (and remember there are lots of free/cheap online photo printing services available) and into a format that you can treasure and share.

I love the Memories and More format and you can see from the 2018 Monthly page, that I have challenged myself to record life on a monthly basis.  I am enjoying the process, its changes the way you view and think about everyday life and recording those small details that may get lost (for example in April Sophie took the stabilizers off her bike for the first time).

There was no stamping involved in these pages, just using the cards and coordinating Colour Theory DSP to best use.  The DSP retires at the end of May, as does the Colour Theory Memories and More kit.  The Colourful Seasons bundle retires, however the Colourful Seasons Stamp set and Seasonal Layers dies will continue, but as individual items. If you want them now, then buy as a bundle before the end of May and save 10%.

You can also then branch out to 12x12 scrapbooking pages, using the cards as decoration and part of the design. Here is a page I designed last summer using the Colour Theory Memories and More Kit.  The kits make it very quick and simple, with relatively little stamping.

Sweet Soiree Memories and More Cards

Don't panic yet, we still have a few weeks left before Sale-A-Bration ends, but don't sit on your hands if there is something you want.

Here is one item that I am sure is on your list, the Sweet Soiree Memories and More cards.  72 double sided cards that match the Sweet Soiree suite in the Occasions Catalogue.  Great for memory keeping (whether pocket style or 12x12 pages) and great for quick, no stamping cards.

Valentine's Part I

Well, it is almost time for Valentine's Day (about 1 week away).  This is probably the shortest card selling and card supplies selling window of the year! Its not something that is discussed before the middle to end of January and then you have about 2 or 3 weeks to get prepared and sell.

I have done a couple of projects for Valentine's, mainly because Stampin' Up have released an amazing set of Designer Series Papers, which I adore called Painted with Love.  I have used them for Valentine's, but also for other events in the year.

The problem with a Designer Series Paper that you love is having to cut it up and use it in away that shows it off, this card does that.  This card is all about the DSP and very little about the stamping!  What really sets it off is the coordinating cardstock pack that enables you to do a little matting and layering with ease.

I love the simplicity of the colours and patterns, flecked with that gold.  You may not be able to see, but the paper has a printed texture that makes you want to reach out and stroke it!

I have also used this paper as the background to a family picture taken at Christmas.  I didn't want a wintery themed scrapbook page as the emphasis was on all the grandchildren being with Granny rather than the time of year.  I also used some Brusho to create interest in the background (which is why the card is buckled - I am hoping that being in the Big Black Folder it will flatten over time).

Again, the gold just adds that bit of opulence to the layout.

Lastly, I added it to a page about an Afternoon Tea my husband and I recieved as a joint birthday present.  A romantic afternoon, but it was more because the colours in the cardstock pack and DSP set the photos off well.
