Good Luck in Green

This was a card we made out our last class.  It was such a quick and easy card to do and used the Blends to colour in the lettering.

The Stitched Rectangular dies from Stampin' Up really set the piece off and enables you to use such a large sentiment.

When I colour in the Stampin' Blends, which are alcohol markers, I use a waterbased ink to stamp the image (the two mediums will not bleed together then).  The Blends come in two shades per colour, light and dark shade.  I start with the dark shade and then blend with the light shade, making sure I go over all of the dark shade I have already laid down to ensure a nice smooth blend.  I know you can do a light-dark-light blend, but I find I get just as good a result with just a dark-light blend.  I would also recommend using the Whisper White or Very Vanilla thick card as it will hold the ink better and it is less likely to bleed.

A Valentine's meaning

I guess we all know about Valentine's Dat and what it means to us and our relationship with someone who makes our lives richer, but I did ponder about love in general.  I feel that love is a mixture of emotions, love isn't love without trust, understanding, compassion, thoughtfulness, giving and desire.  We express the message behind Valentine's day most of the time with our loved ones and I think that is why I don't celebrate Valentine's excessively - I have a card and a small gift for my husband but I hope that our lives together and what we share is our Valentine's Gift.

I will share my Husband's Valentine's card later this week on Facebook, so for this post, I thought I would share with you the class I am running today at Binfield Craft Club.  I am so excited to be sharing Stampin' Up with them and I hope they love the projects.  Unfortunately, the Butterfly Punch has sold out until the end of March - but will carry over to the new 2019-20 Annual Catalogue.

I am not too sure how long the Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick Foil card will last in Sale-A-Bration, as that is flying out the shop currently, but if you like it - get it now!

It may be a bit early for Easter, but who doesn't like a little treat when they craft.  The topper could be for a birthday or even a 'thank you for coming' gift.

Colourful background with Amazing Life Bundle

I was experimenting with different background techniques this week, and this one was a technique that I saw on TV and thought I would give it a shot with Stampin' Up! products.  I hope you enjoy the video below.

Butterfly Duet Punch

Well, isn't that just dandy!  I had this months Fi's Paperbox and class all sorted, based around the Butterfly Gala bundle......but the Butterfly Duet Punch is about to sell out and will not be coming back until the end of March!

No worries, I will be working furiously this week to get the Amazing Life class planned for March ready for 8th February instead - I will just swap the classes so that all the products will be available.  So bear with me while I get the new Fi's Paperbox loaded onto my website - should hopefully be done this week.

In the meantime, I thought I would share this card with you that uses the Broadway Bound DSP from the Annual Catalogue and the Amazing Life Bundle.  The Bundle includes the Amazing Life Stamp set - which is full of sentiments for all sorts of occasions - and the Rectangle Stitched dies.  These dies are going to be a staple in your crafty stash.

The shaker elements came from the Incredible Like You card kit, it was the waste elements from the green glitter card - and work wonderfully with the Lovely Lipstick foiled card.

EEEK - Sneak Peek of what goes on at an Onstage Local Make and Take

This video is slightly different this week, as you can't actually buy the stamp set yet!  When we go to Onstage Local or Live events, Stampin' Up! provide us with a goodie bag and lots of freebies throughout the day as well as make and takes with new product.  This time they gave us a make and take to do at home - and this is what this video is!
