Cute reindeer card with fabulous background!

This week I thought I would show you a video of one of the cards we made in November's classes.  I love meeting people and crafting face-to-face, the feedback is immediate and sharing a passion that we all love is so special.

This card is quick and simple, but leaves a stunning result.  The technique is to in the inside of an embossing folder to create a different background.  Which side you ink, depends on the effect you wantm, as well as the style of the folder.  I chose to ink in the debossed side (the side with the Stampin' Up! logo on it), so that the falling dots would be white.

I hope you like it, I have linked the products underneath and, as always, the best deal is to sign up as a Demonstrator and get your own 20% discount - as well as the opportunity to craft with others.

Half term Madness

Agghhhhh, its Half term here.  Its not too bad as only a week long and I have a few things planned to keep the munchkins amused.  Its always a balance with children to maintain your business and to respond and by available for them.  I firmly believe that it won't do them any harm to be a little bored some times, and I do like the week to be a rest from the hectic schedule of school, homework and after-school activities.

However, there are some crafty things I like to do with them, such as pumpkin carving and baking Halloween Cookies.  My youngest loves stickers, so I will get some autumn themed stickers for her (I find them in all sorts of places)!

If you need some relief from the constant questions, maybe try some crafting.  Anything that requires you concentration on what your hands are doing helps you take your mind of the constant noise and pace of the modern world.  That's why I enjoy crafting.

In December MIND raise money through their annual Crafternoon, and this year I thought I would join in by organising my own event where you can get a hands on experience of various crafts and meet the people who can teach you a brand new craft or hobby.

More details will come soon, however here is a sneak peek of what I have been working on for the November class

I love the colours of this, nice and fresh - and with the continued sunshine in the UK it looks so bright as well, perfect for those who do not like the traditional colours.

Although you can't tell from the photo, the deer is cut from the new Velveteen Sheets that are exclusive next month, amongst other items that will only be available in November.  Catch my Newsletter for more details.
