Who's dreaming of an exotic destination?

Well, I am - always!  So jump on Board Fi's Papercraft tropical transport as we explore some stunning scenery (of the paper variety).

May's class was all about the exotic and tropical as we used the Tropical Chic bundle (stamp + Die set) from Stampin' Up! This is such a fun bundle that works well with a multitude of colours and situations.

Our first project takes us to the sweaty heat of the tropical rainforest, damp strong colours with the heat of the unexpected.  This is lovely half gatefold card uses the stunning papers from the Tropical Escape 6x6 DSP stack and large square die from the Tropical Elements die set.  A simple way to add interest and design to your card.

Our second project was a simple card that evoked the white sands and washed out colours from the bright sunshine of tropical islands.  We daubed our ink and stamped on the wood effect DSP from the Floral Romance speciality DSP.  I hope this card has you dreaming of long cocktails on palm tree strewn beach.

While you are gently relaxing on that white beach, you may be reading a book. However, that long adventure in the tropical rainforest has your eyes gently resting and this bookmark using the retiring 2017-19 In-Colours could just keep your holiday reading on track.

Are you excited?

Next week we can order the 'Hugs from Shelli' Paper Pumpkin kit.  This is a one-off Paper Pumpkin Kit for the UK, and only while stocks last.  I would love to give you full details and pictures of what you could be making, however, I have to wait and see as I can't order any earlier than you!

We did get a sneak peek during Onstage in April and we made on for the four designs.  In total you will make 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs - all created by Shelli.  This kit speaks of Shelli, her personality and what she loves and will be a kit to treasure.

In the kit you will get everything to make the 26 cards, a unique stamp set - not available anywhere else - a 1" ink spot, adhesives and embellishments.  All you will need is a stamp block and you are ready to go.

I will be placing an order on Wednesday 15th if you would like to add your order to mine (for £1 p+p for local collection/delivery) - just email me by 6pm on Tuesday 14th May.  The kit costs £20.  It also coordinates with one of the up-coming suites in the new catalogue.

Two toned stamping

I love this technique, so quick and simple yet really effective.  Brilliant for new stampers as it is just ink, DSP and card.

Just use a sponge to add a second colour to your inked image to add a halo of colour, spots of colour or even a stripe!

Magical Make it May!

Today's blog is slightly different as I want to share with you two items that will cater to all levels of paper crafting and time.  

The first item is the Everything is Rosey Medley, a selection box of crafting items with a Rose Gold thread running through the items.  For £74 you get a whole lot of lovely for your money.

April 2019 Team Sampler

Well, you saw the amazing swaps and gifts I got from OnStage this year, well here is a video of how I created my team swap.  We all decided to create a sampler, so we designed one square each and replicated it 9 times.

Here is the finished Sampler:

And here is the square I created with the Tropical Chic bundle.  This set will continue into the 2019-20 Annual Catalogue, however, it will not be at the 10% discounted bundle price.
