Nature's Poem Bag

This video showcases a decorated bag, the original design I saw from Pootles, however the dimensions and embellishments were my design.  I used the Nature's Poem DSP, which is one of the 10 DSP's on special offer this month - but does end in a few days at the end of July.  Order 4 packs of DSP, but only pay for 3.

This is a really simple bag to make, and I love the fact that you can see both sides of the double-sided DSP.  It makes a 6" tall by 3/4" wide bag.  For clarification the dimensions are:

8x8" square of DSP.

Score one side at 3", 3 3/4", 6 3/4" and 7 1/2"

Turn and score the other side at 1 1/2" and 7 1/2".

I hope you enjoy the video

Christmas in July

July has been a busy month for me.  I held my Christmas in July Stamp 'n' Stack last week where 4 cards each of 4 designs and a pack of tags were made.  Unfortunately we ran out of time to complete all the projects, however we all had fun.

August will be slightly quieter as it is the Summer holidays therefore if you want to join in this month you need to book your seat by the 3rd August, email me on fispapercraft@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

I had fun designing the cards, using some old products and new products from the catalogue.

This card uses the new 'In every Season' stamp set, which has twelve flowers, one for each month - although I am not sure which flower represents what month!  I also used the blends to colour in the ribbon.

This card uses the Colourful Seasons stamp set, this was quick and easy to make.  Really blinged it up with the pearls as well.

This one was fun to make, although it took a little bit of patience to die cut the snowflakes and get all the bits out!

I love this little reindeer, he is actually a tag - I just cut the second image off.  The sheet music background stamp looks stunning in silver emboss on a black background.

This was the tag project I made, using the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

Remember you can still save money this month so that you can save your pennies for the Autumn/Winter catalogue launching in September by:

Buy 4 packs for DSP for the price of 3 - Including the Under the Mistletoe DSP.
To really save money join my team this month and get 10 FREE ink pads, the chance to order the exclusive and time limited Colour Your Season Bundle and a minimum of 20% off every order you place after.

Tranquil Textures Mosaic Tile Card

We have all this 12x12 DSP, but what do we do with the scraps. Some of it gets given to my daughters school - they use the small bits to help with fine motor skills with the younger children.  But a lot of it I store it bags crying out to be useds usefully.  In my head all cardstock and DSP want to be used, they get a little sad if they are left in the cellophane packet, even if now and then they are pulled out to be sniffed and stroked.

Here is a style of card that helps you use up the scraps of DSP.  You could use a square punch or dies, or in fact use decorative shapes as along as they are symmetrical so that they line up neatly on the card.  I have made the tiles from one pack of DSP as I know they will co-ordinate with each other, no thought needed! However you could experiment with different DSP packs and cardstocks and see what effect you come up with.
