No Glue Box

My video this week takes me back to my first workshop, as this box was one of the projects we made that day (july 2015!).

I have revisited this box because it is so simple and effective, and can be modified in a few different ways.  I have left it fairly simple with a embossed tag because the Share What You Love Speciality DSP needs nothing further to enhance it.

You can purchase the various Share What You Love bundles until the end of May, and you will get a few freebies with each bundle.

Pick a Pennant

Well, this is the last week that you can order from the 2017-18 Catalogue, and the 2017-18 In-Colours will also be retiring, so if there is anything you need - best order it now.

I thought I would show you couple of things I have been working on this week, as I get things ready for my Open House on Saturday 2nd June.  If you would like to attend, just drop me an email - fispapercraft@hotmail.co.uk.

I have used the Pick a Pennant stamp set, which has two banner designs, an alphabet and a few little embellishment stamps.  Now, I will admit, I have a love/hate relationship with alphabet stamp sets.  They are great for personalising items, writing the greetings that mean something to you and helping your creations be unique.  However, they are fiddly and I have little patience for stamping one at a time.  This is were the stamparatus comes into its own.

Stamp your banner, put the cardstock into the stamparatus and then line your stamps up onto the banner (if the are two close and interfere with each other, the stamparatus has two plates, so just split the alphabet stamps over the two plates), ink up and stamp - simple and straight forward....Yeah!

This card also showcases the Animal Outing stamp set, a really sweet one that will be brilliant for new babies, new homes and just generally those cards that need the sweet touch.

This card I focused on the colour, Grapefruit Grove and cheated a little by creating my own banner by using the triple banner punch.  The extra embellishment stamps - like the flowers in the corners are si useful for filling those spaces that may need a little extra.

I hope you are just as excited about the new catalogue as I am, if you do not have a UK demonstrator and would like a copy, please drop me a message.

Same but Different

This weeks post used the new Painted Glass bundle and how you can make different cards with similar materials and styles.

The Painted Glass suite also has a embossed vellum pack, which I have coloured using different colouring tools.  Let me know in the comments which is your favourite.

This first sample was coloured with the Water-Colour Pencils

This sample was painted with the Brusho's

This sample was coloured with the Stampin' Blends

This sample was made with the new in-colour Stampin' Markers

Four different methods with four different results, all in keeping with the stained glass effect as well.

We will be using this set in the June classes, so keep an eye out on my events page or facebook page.  If you can't make it to my classes, look out for Fi's Paperbox.

Memories and More

Today's post is about Memories and More.  Memories and More are card kits made up of 3x4 double-sided decorated cards and 6x4" double-sided decorated cards that work with plastic pockets of the same dimensions.  This system allows you to get the photos off your phone (and remember there are lots of free/cheap online photo printing services available) and into a format that you can treasure and share.

I love the Memories and More format and you can see from the 2018 Monthly page, that I have challenged myself to record life on a monthly basis.  I am enjoying the process, its changes the way you view and think about everyday life and recording those small details that may get lost (for example in April Sophie took the stabilizers off her bike for the first time).

There was no stamping involved in these pages, just using the cards and coordinating Colour Theory DSP to best use.  The DSP retires at the end of May, as does the Colour Theory Memories and More kit.  The Colourful Seasons bundle retires, however the Colourful Seasons Stamp set and Seasonal Layers dies will continue, but as individual items. If you want them now, then buy as a bundle before the end of May and save 10%.

You can also then branch out to 12x12 scrapbooking pages, using the cards as decoration and part of the design. Here is a page I designed last summer using the Colour Theory Memories and More Kit.  The kits make it very quick and simple, with relatively little stamping.

This week my Facebook posts will focus on using the Memories and More card kits for card-making, using a new pack from the 2018-19 catalogue, called Delightfully Detailed

Envelope Card

Aggghhh, so sorry my post is delayed today.  Sometimes there just isn't enough hours in the day.

I hope you enjoy this weeks video on a slightly different styled card, a card within an envelope.

I love the Share What you Love bundle (see Fi's Paperbox for more details), it is versatile and verrry pretty.

2018-20 In-Colours

I thought this week I would introduce you to the 2018-20 In-Colours.  This is a set of bright and bold colours that really whoosh you into Spring and Summer.

You have three bright primary colours and two lovely complementary colours in the set.

Here are the colours, alongside the 2017-19 In-Colours. I love that Stampin' Up have this system of introducing new colours annually, however not rushing to get rid of them either.  The colours really complement the main colour families as well - and I am sure you aware that there will be a colour revamp in the new catalogue.

Here is a set of cards I made using the In-Colours and the new Pick a Pennant stamp set.  This is a useful stamp set that includes a full alphabet at quite a reasonable price (as well as pennants, obviously).

The sentiment comes from new Rooted in Nature stamp set, if you love Lovely as a Tree set, you will love this set.  a Stunning set based around trees and natural elements with some inspiring sentiments.  I will be highlighting the new colours on my Facebook Page this week, if you want to see some more inspiration.

If you would like to get your hands on the new stuff before June 1st and get your own catalogue, join my team and add these things to your starter kit.  Remember, you could also ad the 'Gotta have it All' bundle from the Share What you Love pre-release this month into your starter kit as well for £99 instead of £118!

Look at new things

Well, you are lucky today as I have released TWO videos yesterday!

The first one was actually a video I made in February when I received my box of Display Stamp materials (well to be honest, Flora Stanton received the box, but I assume they meant me!).

That was such an exciting time and since then I have displayed my samples, which you can see on my Facebook Page.

The second video this week showcases the Share What You Love bundles.  This is an early release of new goodies from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue.

There are three bundles available - please see the details by clicking here

I think you will fall in love with this suite, which Stampin' Up designed and organised as a thank you to Demonstrators during this special year - the 30yr Anniversary of Stampin' Up.

You can also add the 'Gotta Have it All' bundle (priced at £118.75) into your Starter Kit for only £99, plus add a few extra bits to make it up to £130.  This is a great time to join Stampin' Up as the new catalogue launches in June 2018, email me for more details.

I hope you enjoy the two videos, and remember to sign up for this months classes.
